1. Peer-to-Peer Architecture

Gigglade Share utilizes a peer-to-peer (P2P) architecture powered by WebRTC. When you share a file, the platform attempts to establish a direct tunnel between your device and the recipient's device.

Because the transfer happens directly between peers, your files are not intentionally stored on our servers, databases, or cloud storage infrastructure. While this architecture significantly reduces central points of failure, no internet transmission is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute immunity from interception or local device compromises.

2. Encryption and Security

Data transmitted through Gigglade Share utilizes standard WebRTC encryption protocols. While we endeavor to facilitate encrypted tunnels to protect data in transit, the ultimate security of your local device, network environment, and the recipient's environment remains your sole responsibility. We strongly advise against sharing highly sensitive or legally restricted information without adequate independent security measures.

3. Information Minimization

Our privacy approach focuses on collecting only what is strictly necessary to operate the service:

• No Personal Information Required: We do not require accounts, emails, or passwords to use the core transfer features.
• No Content Inspection: We do not inspect, moderate, or track the names, sizes, or contents of the files you transfer.
• Minimal Logging: While we aim to avoid logging identifiable IP addresses, standard server access logs and ephemeral connection data may be temporarily processed to maintain service integrity.

4. Information We Temporarily Process

To facilitate the peer-to-peer connection, our signaling server must process ephemeral connection data (SDP offers/answers and ICE candidates). This data is processed strictly to establish the connection and is not persistently written to our databases.

5. Local Storage and Technical Cookies

To provide a seamless user experience, Gigglade Share may utilize your browser's Local Storage or strictly necessary cookies. This is used exclusively for saving non-identifiable UI preferences (such as Dark Mode settings) or temporarily maintaining your Active Room state to prevent accidental disconnections. This data remains on your device.

6. Third-Party Services & Relays

In instances where a direct peer-to-peer connection fails (e.g., due to strict corporate firewalls), Gigglade Share may utilize third-party TURN servers to relay encrypted packets. The relay server acts as a conduit to pass data between clients when direct connections fail.

7. Limitation of Liability & User Responsibility

Service Provided "As Is": Gigglade Share is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied.

Your Responsibility: We do not guarantee that the service will be free from unauthorized access, interception, or data loss. By using our platform, you explicitly agree that you share files entirely at your own risk. You agree to hold Gigglade Share, its developers, and operators completely harmless against any data breaches, losses, intellectual property violations, or legal claims arising from your transfers. The 100% responsibility for the security and legality of transferred files lies with the user.
